Everybody is aware that God is our Creator. He creates, sustains and also destroys. All the actions, which take place in this
universe is because of His wishes. If you contradict this thinking it will be
mostly termed as cognitive dissonance. We often take the credit of many good things
happened, but in the philosophical mode of thinking, the human beings cannot do
anything without the Creator’s wish and dictum.
The Creator, God is not the personal God, which human beings worship
either as an idol or an image. This
theory of a personal God is our own creation.
But to understand God as a phenomenon, we must take our thoughts beyond
the perceptible creation. To understand
this concept in details, we have to know some spiritual tenets. For your understanding,God is a macro
manger, God is not our wish fulfilling agent, God does not favor the creation
of miracle makers and God does not
believe in this type of power shown by some self-proclaimed godmen. Let us analyze each of these tenets one by
one.
God is a macro manager means He is not obliged to fulfill all your
desires unless you really struggle.The
phenomenon related to God does not work in micro level for most of us because
that depends on your own power. What is
your desire? What are you doing to
accomplish the same? Whether your
efforts are in the right direction? Are
you really very serious to achieve your goals?
Are you not procrastinating?
Simply by putting your hands and praying to God, you cannot achieve your
objectives. Or let us take that you are
a true devotee of God, still it will be impossible to achieve your goal. All of us pray and we pray mostly to get the
things done with the help of God’s charismatic power. All people believe that if they pray, God
will hear and fulfill their wishes.
People flock to the temples, take bath in the nearby Ganges or rivers,
wear new clothes, stand hours together in queues and finally perform pujas or
touch the idols to get the blessings with a hope that their inner desires will
be fulfilled. With hundred percent
guarantee, I can say that these types of prayers are mostly unheard or in this
way, it is not at all possible to get success.
To understand the second tenet that God is not our wish fulfilling
agent, we have to introspect in depth.
It is true that by God’s blessings, some people become rich, wealthy,
healthy and even famous. Even for you,
some wishes may be fulfilled, but not all.
We may pray very sincerely, but that does not mean that it will be granted.
More so, if your desire is not matched to your capabilities, skills and
performance records, no amount of prayers will be in a position to make you to
reach the level anticipated by you.
For example, like you, many others approach God to get blessings and
perform pujas, so that their wishes are also needed to be fulfilled. For logical argument, let us take the case of
any war or game. One team or a party
will win and the other will get defeated.
In the case of God’s also, fulfilling
wishes of all, it is simply not possible. One may get His blessings out of so many
worshippers or disciples. In another
way, a person who believes in rational thinking and logical approach will
believe the theory of God phenomenon and ask God to give him the best wishes
only. He will not ask for any favor.. He
will visit temples to see the idols, pay homage and respect and that’s it.

If you analyze the third tenet of not creating any miracle by God,
there are end numbers of stories showing the emergence of saints and sages. It
is said that some of them earn some miraculous powers because of their
excruciating lives and always become busy in religious activities and serving
mankind, they listen to the prayers of
their devotees and solve the same. Most of the time, these sages prove their
super power to help their disciples to get relieved from their sufferings and
term the same as a miracle of divinity. However, these types of super powers
are performed in certain areas and for a certain time period as these super
powers cannot be taken as granted for doing the welfare of the human beings as
a whole. People who are able to achieve this super power, are rare and they
generally do not exercise or show such power, it only spreads across. Other
than these few, mostly the sages and saints,
perhaps exploit the psychology of their devotees just to raise a faith in their
mind.
God is the final power to guide us to the path of success. You have to work relentlessly and engage in
prayers without any focus to receive the
worldly fruits. There are people who
only pray for the purpose of spiritual objectives to get liberation. Generally
speaking, if you discuss this theory with your family members, friends and
relatives, they will frown at you.
Because the meaning of prayer is nothing but to get something from God
by His blessings. The prayers, which you perform standing in front of the idol
of your God has no meaning to get your desires fulfilled. It never works. If at
all you want to pray, do so in your mind or in writing, but with a peaceful
mind and closing all the doors and the windows of your mind, so that no
thoughts can enter in you. Such prayers
will be heard by your sedate mind and then God and it will bring a change in your
attitude, in your behavior and in your views of worldly life. Finally, you will be able to get liberation
from your greed. It is imperative not to
pray just for your desire fulfillment.
Life must be accepted as it is, but you must perform good work. Pray for the strength when you get pain and
sufferings, so that you can overcome.
Pray for the wellness of others who help you in life. Pray to God to show a way how you can be
detached in the attached environment of desires? Once you learn this type of prayer, you will take God as a
creator, but not as a Fulfiller.
