The art of planning

The art of planning is a scientifically proven concept for getting success. It is to plan and get results utilizing the resources available to you. But if the sources itself are in scarcity and you are forced to plan to achieve your goals based on your road map, then to do this planning  becomes tedious. Here you have to learn the techniques by which you can plan successfully, even with the limited resources  and accrue the benefits out of the same. To make a  proper planning as desired during that time, you have to inculcate a habit to think more with the logical power of rational thinking. You must devise the tools to plan based on the resources available to you.  This type of planning is termed by me as “Periphery Planning” after roaming on the available resources. You should not take this  periphery means visiting your resourced crunch on the surface of it. You need to introspect in depth to find out the real causes of the crunch, which prohibits you from doing the proper planning.  For example, you need to appear for an examination and you do not have the resources to purchase all the books. So, you have to borrow some books, purchase a few books and take notes from the books available with some of your friends.  In this way, you have to strike a balance and clear your examination.

Now, most of us chalk out strategic planning, considering the concept of totality.  That means, unless you get all the resources in total quantities and either you are guided by someone  or self decides for proper direction, you are not planning, and ultimately you are losing the vital time and perhaps the opportunities. This is a wrong type of thinking on the part of many people. Basically, these types of  people are reluctant and mentally not comfortable to start any activity with partial resources or minimum resources. This type of thinking is against the law of nature, where every aspect of any resources is inelastic in demand. You cannot expect to create sufficient resources to fulfill your plan of actions. In fact, no one can. The reality must be that if entire resources are not available, you must reshuffle your thinking to accept the part and to start planning to achieve your desired goals. If you observe the practical aspect of many countries who hunch for total resources and then  start planning, fail miserably in their ambitions.  There is an adage, “One, who runs over the whole, leaving behind the part, loses both the part and the whole.”  Contrarily, the nations who plan on the basis of achieving partially, get maximum success.  This can be well defined from the success rate of Japan and Germany.  Whatever assets or resources these two countries were able to accumulate lost in the world war-II and  after losing, they did not decide to build the whole country again.  They focused their planning to develop first the portion, which they lost. The result was miraculous. The promising and dynamic, the then chancellor Konrad of Germany emerged as one of the promising leaders of Europe. Based on his planning acumen, he not only set right the economy of his country, but also helped his neighboring countries.  Similarly, Japan was ably guided by the Emperor Hirohito and was recognized as the super power in the economic front in Asia.  This achievement was possible because both the leaders recognized the principle and the concept of planning covering the part of the whole.

If you want to achieve a fast rate of success in life, you must discard the thought what you have lost.  You must always plan and then perform the action oriented goals based on what is still remaining.  The example of Singapore is also a classic one in this regard.  Earlier, they were a part of Malaysia. In the year of 1965, Singapore was identified as an independent state. Under the stewardship of Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore adopted the policy of planning based on remnants.  Though Malaysia is 400 times bigger than Singapore in the area, it is far behind in respect of economic development growth.

Most of us whether individual or countries, as a whole has definite plans to grow in all aspects. But most of the time we are unable to start the planning to get the effect of the same. We always say that time has not yet come, opportunities are not plenty, market condition is bad at present and we have to mobilize more resources to do a concrete planning so that it becomes proven and achieving the results become easier and we go on giving theses types of excuses. Make a note that you will be always in the slough of these types of constraints and  if you cannot overcome, learning the art of planning will be difficult. So, it is better to start with the partial resources and  considering  all the adverse conditions, if you are able to make a planning based on practical possibilities and then conceptualize the theory of  periphery planning, you will always achieve success.

The wise planning to fulfill the charismatic growth requires a close knitted action, which must encapsulate two broader aspects, namely personal ambition and available resources.  These two things when integrate with dedication and perseverance, the success is bound to come.  No one can dominate the external force.  No one is master of nature.  So, to achieve a success, we must learn the real art of planning, which is based on the available resources and how best to utilize the same.
