The power of Mantra

What is this superpower M?  It is the power of mantra which can very well control other 3Ms  namely ‘money’ ‘mokhs’ and ‘mind’. Here the  mokhs is related to addiction. In fact, the power of mantra can plunder all the emotions pertaining to the activities belong to 3M. Money accumulation is not bad.  Becoming wealthy is also not a crime. On the contrary, if you have the potential to earn more, it is a laudable state of affair.  If you have financial difficulties, if you are always struggling to meet the two ends meet, it means that you are not able to convince your subconscious mind to have plenty and some to spare.  This spare amount to spend effectively is the most important facet of life. The more you earn and the more you can spare to spend for charity, religious functions and upliftment of poor and needy, then your extra earning is being utilized for a noble cause.

We all work for our survival and we also wish to increase our income gradually. Say, you are an executive of a multinational company. Your income has increased threefold in the past five years. Since, you are now affluent as compared to five years back; your desire to spend more has also gone up. Now, if you become spendthrift for not so good  purposes, say lavish living style, late night party, then the extra income is a waste of resources. But, if you spend money on good causes, the same is praiseworthy. The situation of extravagance for not so good causes leads to the trap of mokhs. Your more disposable income is bound to attract you with more worldlings. How to escape from this trap of addiction?  You have to take the help of religious path.  Being in the family, maintaining the family life also, you can surrender yourself to God and become a devotee. No sooner your level of income goes up sufficiently and you become a wealthy person, you have to simultaneously know the technique of chanting hymns and Sloks to get rid of this mokhs or addiction, say, for the money. Here, the mind comes into play. You have one mind, but that one mind possesses two distinct and characteristic functional parts. These two functions are identified by various names. These include the objective and subjective mind, the conscious and the subconscious mind, the waking and the sleeping mind, the surface and the deep self, the voluntary and the involuntary mind, the male and the female mind. These various features of mind guide us and lead us in different proportions for materialistic activities and money acts as a propelling factor to augment the said activities.  Money is like a tool.  In a machine shop, tools are used for cutting, grinding and finishing. In the same way, money also serves the purpose of our survival, benefit and luxury.  How to use the money for other’s welfare and not being trapped or addicted for unwanted expenses depends on your strength of character.  If you want to prove this hypothesis, you can draw a simulation technique that if the resultant value of percentage increase in your disposable earning plus percentage increase in your spending to fulfill your worldly desire divided by your spending for religious activities becomes less than one, your abundance of wealth won’t affect your mental health and will not provoke you to spend haphazardly. If it is more than one, then you need to focus your attention more for religious activities because you are spending more for various activities, which are not purposeful. Based on the simulation technique stated above, say, over a period of time, your income increases by 30%, your spending for late night parties, lavish lifestyle increases by 20% and your expenses for religious funding increases by 60% percent, resultant figure derives to 0.83. In this case, you are safe. When your income is more than you need, it is a quite natural phenomenon that you will be attracted to various things to satiate your senses. It is a general tendency that the more expenses will be towards mundane issues and the less expense will be earmarked for religious activities.

To come out from this impasse, chanting of hymns and Sloks loudly will curb the tendency of spending money for non-religious activities because when you engage in religious activities regularly and religiously, your mind will become sedate and allow you to focus more  on the spiritual aspects of living. When you are earning significantly enough and are afraid of being drifted away mentally to perform more tamsik activities, you formulate a hymn to suit your need to calm you at least mentally which should be in the following manner.

“I like money. I love it.  I use it wisely, constructively and judiciously.  Money is constantly circulating in my life.  I release it with  less joy for me and more for others.   It is a good thing and very good.  Money flows to me in avalanches of abundance.  I use for good only, for weaker sections of the society and I am grateful for my good and for the niches of my mind.”  You can then  identify the result yourself. Needless to say, sincerity is a main issue related here, otherwise, benefits will be nil.

By practicing this power of mantra, you can easily curb the evil influence of other three Ms  to achieve the soul purpose of religiousness in life.
