In a hurly-burly life, break is must

People, who are workaholic and always busy with profession and business, seldom give any time to social affairs, and in this melee forget how to relax peacefully. They feel that relaxation is the domain of old age and one must think for the same after retirement.  This thinking is wrong. People, who know the technique how to relax at ease even in the midst of a boisterous situation, can achieve the much needed satisfaction and success after performing various activities. Today’s competitive world is teaching us not to relax much. The relaxation only means when we sleep in the night hours and that too sometimes for not even a minimum period of 6 hours. This relaxation is not related to daily sleep. It is something else. It is a method to rest your tense mind and stimulate your numb muscles after discharging various manual and mental activities for a period of one year continuously. Once in a year, a break is a must to rejuvenate the power of your body, mind and spirit.  This break is only for your own self.  Once you decide to apply a leave or break from the busy schedule of your life, don’t think for any other matter related to your profession and business; forget all the resolutions required for success and forget all issues, which creates anxiety for you. This period of isolation must be considered as an instinct to rejuvenate. You may take at least 15 days after a year. This period must be reserved  to arouse your inner well being. You may discard all your thoughts even related to your  regular family life. All of us has a tremendous zeal to move forward or achieve  more success as compared to the one, which is being accomplished at the moment. If you introspect, you will find that we all want a limitless expansion. We foresee everything through colored glasses. We pray, “God gives me one more chance” or we say to our parents, “Allow me for one more attempt to succeed” or we appeal to our bosses in the similar fashion. This type of sequence of appeal and yearning continues to influence us.  These force us to attempt for boundary less aspiration. To come out from these mental distortions, spend a few days without any distraction, disturbance, boisterous environment and arguments. During this period, there should not be any kind of acquiring self knowledge through writing or reading. This period must be treated as if you are a prisoner surrounded by the scenic beauty of  nature, and you are confined in a secluded place. You must distract yourself from  any  kind of philosophical theories, because some people whenever they are in the midst of  natural beauties, by habit they do so. In this period of fifteen days or so, you sit, relax and enjoy. Some people make argue that we sleep every night, then why break is required except holidays. But neither you should take sleep as a break, nor you consider the holiday as a break in real sense.  It may sound a little crazy, but after a period of fifteen days break in a year on a regular basis, you will yourself recognize what exactly your life is yearning for.  If you complete this period successfully, your system will be energized and you will be able to face any problems that earlier were trampling you. When you are not doing anything, you don’t have any inclination to go anywhere or you do not have to perturb for any deadline, you will be able to visualize the inner joy streaming out of your mind. Further, if you are able to take this type of break for years together, you may be inclined to practice spiritual Sadhana, which of course, will not provide you any miracle. It will only cease your desires and your mental agonies to get something all the time.  When your this spree is reduced, or eliminated, you will be no more in delusion in your life.

The spiritual Sadhna or practice teaches you that you need not to go anywhere or you need not to accomplish any extraordinary accomplishments to fulfill the purpose of life.  What you do, what you perform, what you accept and what you carry out is just a matter of routine affairs in your life. As a human being, by God’s grace, we do our duty as participants in various activities. During your secluded period, you may be able to identify the pressure of these thoughts and though these thoughts will disturb you, but once you are rejuvenated based on the above guidelines, you will bring back your joy in all your activities, which were troubling you earlier. You must thank and express your gratitude to God for your rejuvenation.

You must remember that everything starts here, ends here and the same has to go no where. Once you conceptualize this fact, you are free from the sensation of limitless expansion. You must perform your duties; do a little bit of waiting to see the results.  With your rejuvenated mind, you will not bother whether results are in your favor or not.  But the said waiting time is a very alarming period for the people, who are not that conscious to take a break.
Some people take a break just for the purpose to avail the same, but carry all their mundane issues, worldly affairs and trivial parts of lives with them knowing fully the same will only disturb them and will not yield any effective result.

The spiritual practice, which starts with a spiritual Sadhna, should not be treated as a journey.  It is not at all a dynamic moment in life.  It is a sedating style to take you from all the stresses and make you relax.  With anxieties and stresses, you cannot relax and relaxation is very much required to rejuvenate your mind.

Any practice, whether spiritual, vocational or academic; you need to ascertain the distance between you and yourself. Once your mind is rejuvenated and you are completely filled up with spirit, you are not required to take any break.  Whatever you do at that stage of life, the same will be full of joy and bliss.
