Death is not a fear, it is a friend

It is an allegorical article to show reverence to Karma Yogi Modi and his fearless mind to death. He is determined, which is bestowed upon with his charismatic desire to make India as a superpower in the world. I foresee that in the days to come, he has to face many obstacles, barriers and non-cooperation from various corners so that his mission is getting diffused. Habitually, we are all afraid of death, but he won’t. The reason that he is a workaholic, dedicated and full of clarity that God has sent him to perform the benevolence for people of all sections. Then, why he will fear Mr. Death?

I believe in the incarnation and reincarnation and to my knowledge, he is the evolution of the sacred soul of Swami Vivekanada, who not only conquered the world by his spiritual inner knowledge, but also established a feeling of brotherhood among all human beings. Somehow, Modi is more or less a replica of him, but of a little lesser intellectual. Overall, Swami Vivekananda is treated almost like a God, but Modi is not a God, but definitely he is a custodian of good governance, which might bring radical changes in the life of many proletariat.

I will now narrate the common illusion and perception of the consequence of life and death.

It is an inevitable law that one who is born has to die. The same destiny ultimately awaits everyone; whether rich or poor, good or bad, righteous or wicked, religious or irreligious. It seems so tragic that everyone under the sun suffers the same fate.

What is death? In general, death is an end of existence or a separation of the soul from the body. It is when the heart stops functioning. The body feels nothing; neither pains and sorrow, nor joy and happiness. All worldly worries end with the ultimate destiny, “death”.

All of us, no sooner hear the word “dead”, gets a little nervous. Some, of course show courage in the face of it, but mostly are very sensitive about this word. Why it is so? The main reason, as per me, is that we lead our lives without any love. The majority of the time of our lives either we are mentally, emotionally or physically sick. We are sick because we do not enjoy every bit of our lives. Outwardly, we show that we are very happy, joyous and jubilant in the midst of our friends, family members or neighbors. But, whenever we are alone, we are clouded with despondency, despair and gloom. These all negative patterns of mental characteristics occasionally makes us short-tempered, causes our irritation, provoke us to quarrel for small and petty issues. While living with this condition for a significant portion of our time, we treat our lives as a mechanical substance like an inanimate object. The inanimate object like metal has no psychology, no mental pattern to think and it is under the guidance of any animate object like a human being. So, they don’t have any consequential effect of life and death.

Why we are afraid of death? Because we don’t want to die, we want to enjoy our lives, we like to be evergreen and immortal. We know that it is an impossible imagination, but since it does not match our desires, we are afraid of death. If we are able to make a friendship with this word of death long before death, this dreariness will go away. How to make a friendship with this word? To lead a life peacefully, joyfully, manifested with positive thoughts, serve other human beings in any possible manner and think God for each and every endeavor of our lives. This concept is to be put in childhood itself by our parents. As we go to school in our early and informative year, then go to college in our adolescence, work either in offices or factories or in any other establishments in our adulthood and performs religious activities and advise our juniors in old ages, death is only a formality because whoever has borne he has to die. We are afraid of our death because we lead our lives mechanically or emotionally, but without the reality of spirituality. It is true that every day we visit temples, pray to God, chant hymns and also carry out Pujas and Sadhanas, but these are not sufficient for leading lives spiritually.

Like you go to school to study, you eat to maintain your health, you sleep to regain your lost energy, you visit temples as a part of your routine, but spirituality is something different. It is your devotion to serve others who are underprivileged, who are in distress, to teach people with knowledge of divine to show the right path and direction, who are confused to lead their lives properly. When you are able to perform these functions based on the power of your spirits, divine knowledge and love for others, then you are really leading a life full of spirituality. With this thought of spirituality when you continue to lead your life, you will definitely not be afraid of death. Modi has been very meticulous in doing these functions regularly and so he is really a true spiritual person.

Dead is those whose souls spiritually die. They live in darkness and their deeds are now allowing them to be in hell. Their souls are burnt each moment because their hearts are occupied with hatred, anger, jealousy, scorns and prejudice of others. They have locked their hearts so tightly with such evil thoughts that they cannot achieve spiritual awareness. Without spiritual awareness, they cannot experience divine power and hence they are equivalent to dead. Livings are those who have fear of God and their deeds are even brighter. Livings at least know that they will die, but the dead know nothing.

God has two dwellings; one in the heaven and another in a meek and thankful heart. One who has an ultimate faith in God, his life becomes so easy. Pray to God and thank him for giving this beautiful life. Leave your dedication to God and let him fetch the boat to the shore from the mud of the ocean. The ocean is the life where strong waves in terms of all problems, obstacles, pain and sorrows have arisen. The boat, the position of yours, is not stable and imbalanced because of strong waves. Keep faith in God and let him help you to fight against all problems of your life. You will become fearless, if you keep faith in God. You can experience divine power. No worries frighten you anymore, if you leave everything to God. When you accept the God, accept the truth that the real destiny is the eternal. In this situation, both life and death will be joyous to you. You will make a difference between them. You know the purpose of your life and when you finish the same to your satisfaction, you will enjoy to die peacefully. So what is the need of getting afraid of death. As the metaphysical poet of the nineteenth century John Donne has rightly said, “who is dead? Death itself is a dead, No need to be afraid of him”.

Coming back from the allegorical portion and concentrate on Modi’s recent trip to various places, We all know that his return flight from the SAARC meeting was only an hour behind the ill-feted Malaysian airlines, which was shot down and smashed causing a mass casualties. Similarly, the diffused bomb was found in Air India, when he was returning back from the USA. But, have you observed his face at that particular moment? He is not at all afraid of death.

Modi will trample the fear of death, no matter whatsoever be the consequence to achieve his mission and he will make India to blossom as a blooming flower in the next five years.
