Working habits have a cascading
effect on the success rate. Your desire to grow working habits encapsulated
with positive mindset is a benchmark for a growth in life map. These working
habits are not in by birth. These are cultivated. When you are born, you are
free from all the hassles of life’s habits. Based on your upbringing,
environmental factors, society’s influence, your working habits are imbibed and
when you understand good or bad of these habits, you try to correct the same
for your progress and success. Many of us are not able to correct and ultimately
bury our lives in hell. Working habits are classified as ritual, mental, psychological,
spiritual and more. The ritual habits like cleaning of teeth, body, clothes and
eating food are all consequential habits. Once you are taught, you follow these
for the purpose of betterment of physical health which is essential to combat
with the grueling and cumbersome socio-economical factors of our daily lives. Both
mental and psychological habits must be developed assiduously failing which
success will be completely jeopardized.
As per my statistical analysis of
this subject, I differentiate various habits in HE and HI. HE is habit
effective and HI is habit ineffective. Now, how these habits will be under your
control so that your rate of success in any of your endeavors are increased.
The theory of GIGO or PIPO will be a very effective tool to increase the rating
scale of effective habits. Let us assume a rating scale of one to ten for
different working habits, namely frequently getting anger, show jealousy on
other’s success, nepotism, favoritism, using filthy languages in the working
environment, speaking without any supporting thoughts, improper listening,
disrespect to other’s words and ideas and many more. Now, you assign marks on
your own against each of these negative attributes and if you find, they are
more than seventy or eighty percent of the rating scale, you need to embrace
upon the theory of GIGO/PIPO. This is garbage in, garbage out and positive in,
positive out. If you take the garbage out of your thoughts and replace the same
by positive thoughts, then the intensity of these entire negative habits will
be lessened and rate of success will be more. How? Say, you get angry with a
slight provocation is in your social or family life. The thought of anger is to
be replaced by a positive thought of coolness, it is not that easy, but with a
repeated practice, it is possible. For this, you have to increase your
confidence almost to a peak level. This line is to be reminded again and again,
’’Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid.’’
If working habits developed in
you are mostly negative than positive, then the role of self confidence has
tremendous importance, otherwise you won’t be able to strength the positive
habits or effective habits. I will raise a question here. Do you honestly believe,
you have an enough self confidence? If the answer is yes with full conviction,
you have one of the greatest blessings, you have in this world. In that case,
you will be in a position to change your ineffective habits and automatically
your effective habits will be more prominent.
God does not produce any junk. To
HIM, all are equal. That is the reason, when you are born, you are not
perturbed with any of your habits. You only smile without any pretension. No
sooner you grow, you enter in your real life of studying, trying to acquire
good percentage, searching jobs to suit your social

need, to take the responsibility
of your family members and many more struggles and you inculcate various
working habits and some of these are detrimental to your life’s success. Since,
God has created you, he has confidence in you.Even your working habits are not
that perfect, do not dishearten. You try to get yourself encouraged to reduce
the gravity of ineffective habits. I have seen that people do not break down
because they are defeated, but because they think that due to their improper
habits, nothing will happen. You have to rely on you. You have to believe in
your creator/ God.
Another important issue to turn
various working habits into success is possibility thinking. If you read
Wordsworth’s poetry, you have to believe that much importance should not be
given in circumstances
‘’Trailing clouds of glory
do we come from God,
who is our home,’’
With the help of possibility
thinking, you can overcome any obstacles and convert your barriers into an
advantage. In fact, successful people also have ineffective habits, but they
convert the same to their advantages. For example, many established people have
the tenacity not to listen to their people, friends, well wishers and even
parents. They do all their jobs, mostly in an autocratic fashion. But because
of their high success rate in their lives, they do not think much of these
negative traits. Possibility thinking shows us the path of advancement so as to
achieve our goals.
To achieve success, you have to
increase the effective habits and four steps are to be followed, which are planned
purposeful, prepare prayerfully, proceed positively and pursue persistently.
The eminent inspirational writer William A Ward had professed these. To follow
this, you have to continually urge for self-improvement. Give up everything
which is wrong and your heart does not accept. It will be difficult to follow
this theory in toto, but unless you do this, you cannot increase your success
rate.
You have to forget all hatred,
resentment, jealousy and grudges. You must forgive everyone against whom you
hold resentment.
Make amends for any wrongdoings.
You have to ensure that you are a changed person and start a new life at any
given point of time.
You have to believe with all convictions that your new
life, in this life only will be full of glory with the help of God. Follow
these and you are bound to be successful.
