How many times,
we utter these two words in a day and
that too from the bottom of the heart.
We say, but most of the time, very casually or as a matter of practice
without making any eye to eye contact with the opposite person. Make a practice
to use these two words frequently and give heartfelt wishes to everyone for
everything whether small or big. Indirectly,
these two words are synonymous to gratitude, which is one of the greatest
qualities of any human life and it is this gratitude provides you a distinctive
identity as far as your quality of nature is concerned. No doubt, this quality
is an acquired syndrome and the more you practice, the more you will be able to
enjoy a blissful life. Further, this quality is indispensable. The first
gratitude you must show for your parents as they are the one who has given you
this precious life. They are the one who has given you birth and brought you up
sacrificing their own lives. The second gratitude you must show for your
surroundings which include nature, air, water, nutrients and space without
which your survival becomes a bottleneck.
The third gratitude you must show to all your organs because they are
the parts of your body to help you to
accomplish all your tasks, desires, hunger, thirst and enjoyment. All organs of
the body like hands, legs, or eyes contribute very much to fulfill your wishes as
and when you hunch for something. The
fourth gratitude you must show to your seniors, teachers, peers, friends and
even your neighbors for different types of helping they are showering on you. At
that point of time, if you use these two words with an impact of sincerity, the
glow appears on their faces is beyond anyone’s imagination of feeling.
The meaning and
showing of gratitude start with your positive emotion and it implies that we
must use all our resources happily with a reverence, sublime and spiritual
feeling. On the contrary, if you ignore this power of two words deliberately or
unwillingly, the real happiness will delude you from your life. No doubt without uttering these two words
also, you may lead a prosperous life, but that would be a life simply known as
mechanical one without accruing any solace.
As stated above,
though it is an acquired syndrome, some people have this gratitude inbuilt in
their nature. From their adolescence stage, they show respect, they extend
their attitude of gratitude for all the services and help they get from others.
Of course, in developing this particular habit, they get influenced by their
parents, peers, teachers and seniors.
Apparently, it
looks very easy to express these two words, but very many people are not able
to express these two words because of their egoistic nature. Their nature is so
influenced by their ego that most of the time; they are circumvallated by this
unwanted trait of life. Further, some people are not at all interested to utter
these words because they take it as their birthright to get services of others. So, they feel that showing any gratitude is
not at all mandatory.
The power of
these two words is so strong that once you become attuned and addicted to use,
you will be able to reach closure in your spiritual life. Spiritual life does not mean that you have to
detach from your family life, get rid of all worldly affairs and get busy only
with visiting pilgrimage and performing pujas.
By expressing these words
continually or even occasionally, of course with a deep sense of oneness with
the other person at that particular time, you are able to connect your soul to
the other person’s soul. Whenever you get some benefits from any person whether
it is small or big, you follow this pattern of expression. By performing this
habit on a continuous basis, you are able to confluence your soul with another soul intimately, which
ultimately qualifies you to achieve spiritual blessings from the Creator. Because
for the Creator, there is no difference
between literate and illiterate, rich and poor, celebrities and ordinary men,
he only likes your good gesture, humanity, humility and feeling for others
So, in short, the
power of these two words will slowly take you from the realm of ordinary and lackluster life to the path of spiritual
life.
