Budget always makes people to sibilate ;Either you gloom or gleam

The ensuring budget will make you to negate the established truth of either becoming gloomy or gleeful. Why? Because the last budget, which incidentally was the first one of Modi and his NDA government, they could not establish the magical reforms formula required to upheave the country’s disheveled economic performance. So this budget, which is to be tabled in the parliament in the next week  have to announce more & more  reforms and expedite the policies needed to increase the implementation of these reforms. So people are naturally more enthusiastic to know the outcome of the budget.

Most of the past finance ministers of India believe in the theory that budget should not the only key indicator for evaluating the performance of a government; rather it is a directional path to be followed for proper execution of economic and financial policies for a particular fiscal. So, one should not diddle much on the aspect of a particular budget, rather see the working pattern of the government for various efforts to implement the finance related policies already taken in the particular budget and very many decisions to be taken in the course of the year. More importantly, reviewing the policies and decisions and ultimately results accrued thereupon is more important to evaluate the performance of any government with respect to their consideration of economic reforms. Despite these philosophical utterances of the finance ministers, people will be mostly scrutinizing the budget as virtually the real indicator of performance of the government and their direction to fulfill  the people’s wish lists.

After the radical changes brought by the then finance minister Manmohan Singh in the year 1991, India opened the conservative gate of budget formulation. Dismantling the shackles of licensing raj, Singh created a furore in the history of politics and came out with such a courageous decision. Perhaps with similar type of expectation, millions of Indians and foreign nationals all over the world will glue to the television set and chew the words of Mr. Jaitley’s speech to find out how much it is beneficial to them and in what way?

The last year's budget by Jaitley is almost like a one day match, but this time he has to establish all his credibility to make this budget industry friendly, pro-reform and helpful for the common people to combat their financial burden and plight. He may provide an explanation that last year budget was just like a net practice, but the same commotion will not be effective this time to appease the countrymen. Moreover to counter the onslaught in the hands of AAP in the recently held state assembly in Delhi, Modi has to burn a much more midnight lamp to guide Jaitley to meet the expectations of the people of India and also the world.

Modi very rightly, exercised all his rhetoric power to change the image of India in the global map. Relentlessly, he has whisked past pillar to post and visiting many countries and had brought those countries' heads here to apprise them our zeal to increase the business & strengthen the trade tie-ups. In this process, he has assured them for adequate support system through the budget and bringing more reforms to provide a conducive business environment and he also says  to eliminate the red-tapism so as to  come out from the bureaucratic impasse and ensure them that he and his team mean end result. With these types of assertions from none other than the level of the Prime Minister, the world is eagerly waiting to know the crux of the economic reforms being contemplated by Jaitley in the forthwith  budget.

To present a bold and reform packed  budget, the finance ministry must come out from the thinking like a namby-pamby and counter the chaotic forces of the opposition parties In the parliament on the budget day. Though, for the past nine months, this government has made an amicable relationship with the opposition forces, centre-state cordiality has improved upon and Modi has not given much importance to political mudslinging. He has not even accused  and humiliate the opposition parties to get their wrath. He has shown the countrymen of his sincerity for a good governance. In fact, from the day one of holding the mantle of this government, Modi has identified very many useful buzzing slogans of “Make in India’” “Swachh Bharat” and “stashing out the black money,” and to bring the same in the economy and now through this budget announcement,  he has to prove some of his above desires to be implemented in the right direction.

All are not that simple because this government does not have adequate numbers in the upper house. To make any bold decisions and strategies to increase the speed of reforms, if Jaitley comes out with any new proposal related to direct and indirect taxes, cut down the subsidies and take some steps which may hurt the emotions of the people causing the shrinkage in vote bank, the same needs to be faced firmly. In that case, the Government will try and try to persuade to accept their budget proposal and ultimately when they will fail, the whole purpose of a bold and courageous budget, will  not produce results. What Modi and Jaitley will do then? Already we have seen a number of ordinances have been promulgated immediately after the last session proposing to ratify various bills related to FDI cap in insurance, land acquisition act, coal block auction, e-Richsaws in Delhi and speed up the reforms in arbitration, etc. If any new proposal in the budget does not have any unanimous sanction in the parliament, Modi government functioning will be a question mark.

Whatever may be the political consequences, rivalry and acrimonious debates in both the houses of the parliament, Jaitley has to present a forceful budget with complete boldness as it was shown in the year 1991. Singh could do so, of course, with the help of Late P.V. Narshima Rao then why Jaitely can’t do with the help of ever aggressive charismatic and eloquent speaker Modi.

Jayanti Natarajan is crying;Congress is dying

The politics is a murky mire. No sooner, the ministers and the bureaucrats relinquish the cozy chair of power, they start finding faults with most of the people, which even includes their political masters to whom they were very faithful  earlier. This grotesque mud slinging affair of political people is nothing new and media is also preoccupied with these types of riff-raff information. One of  the latest entrants is Jayanthi Natarajan, the then environment minister of the UPA government, who vociferously snarled at Rahul Gandhi’s obtrusive interference of environment ministry's decision and she went on saying that all her decisions were taken under the influence of Rahul Gandhi when she was ensconced in that position. Promptly enough, Gandhi regaled the accusation only to counter accuse her for switching off  loyalty from Congress  to the BJP. Gandhi also said that he was only trying to protect the interest of tribal forest dwellers when Vedanta Aluminium was keen to implement a project in Odisha. The buzzing sound of Gandhi’s criticism of Natarajan was also supported by former Congress MP of the region just to show a veneration for one of the most powerful persons of the Congress. But the incident as expressed by Natarajan even is getting classified as a drama, is not incorrect, but the purpose is to induce her self importance.  The fallout of the project was because everything was not to the tune of desireness of UPA – II. As per the report, the said company sought to implement the mining activities in Odisha’s Kalahandi district for bauxite with an idea to use the mining materials to produce aluminum in a greenfield project in the vicinity with the lobbies of highly influential people in nexus with certain politicians, local ministers and bureaucrats. But the project did not see the light, causing a colossal loss for Vedanta for 3000 crores. Needless to say, this mind boggling loss is ultimately for various financial institutions and indirectly of the tax payers. The national advisory council & some NGOs who were the messiahs of the tribal dwellers settled in those areas took this as their victory because had  the project been approved, it would have created a turmoil on the environment & causing the local poor people to become  destitute.

Rahul Gandhi is giving an ominous impression that this project would have destroyed the cultural sanctity & religious fervor of the local people. In order to protect the interests of a few, he not only caused the blockage of an important money  spinning project, but also depriving the employment opportunities of many unemployed people. Now Natarajan blames that she was forced to carry out the order under impulsion. If that is the case, what is the need to glower  at Rahul Gandhi now. What purpose will it serve?  Further, by taking this political decision to save the local, what benefit the congress got? The people of Kalahandi voted them out in the election of 2014.  The then sitting congress MP was trounced by BJD. In fact, Modi’s image and BJP’s wave were not at all responsible for the debacle of Mr. Das. The BJP could manage to highlight the pitfalls of congress in various election rallies during that time for not initiating this  lucrative aluminum project, which ultimately causes the poor sector of Kalahandi to become poorer. But despite their all out efforts, they were not able to win this seat.

The cultural & the religious rights, which were surfaced not to displease the local people, were simply bunkum. In many  other parts of India, these types of issues  often got cropped up &  then settled amicably, but not by stalling the project. As reported, the UPA II government faced various obstacles related to environmental clearances & land acquisition and not able to manage  the consent of the local community so as to start   this project. But  these flashes have no iota of truth because the then government was not that interested to plunge into various clearances related to this project, as the case itself was a bit politically sensitive.

Despite Natarajan’s public aggravation on Gandhi, this is fact, that she and her predecessor Jairam Ramesh were unnecessarily using the “Protection of Green environment” as a tool to distract the entrepreneurship mechanism  of certain industrialists including this particular one to start various mega projects. It was quite common in the UPA years that this project, like many others was getting a step-mother treatment on the pretext that certain business houses were not falling in line with UPA governments dictum.

To block this sort of project instead of starting the same for the upliftment of common causes of people, the then environment ministry supported by their lawyers proposed a law putting a provision to get the concurrence of the local community for land acquisition. What a sarcastic castigation was shown by this UPA II government? This provision in the proposal was also accepted by a supreme court Judge. In theory, this provision of the proposal is well acclaimed, but in practice, what does it mean? How far the local communities have any say when any mega project of this magnitude is situated in their locality?

Today, Natarajan is howling, scowling and glowering. Why? She understands very well that congress has a bleak future & she may not be able to be in the limelight. But why to be grumpy. By accusing the past political deeds, blaming the people sitting at the helm of the affairs, and  telling the people that  I have not done anything wrong, I was forced to obey only, if she wants to prove that she was the victim in the hand of her political superior, then why cry at this juncture of time. I do not think anybody from her party will buy her argument except either to  scream or simper. Her this stance is almost like a gimmick to explore any opportunity probably which is being offered to her by other parties as a reward of her outburst. If that is so,  what is the harm to grab the same?
So, the politics and most of the politicians are ruthless; they first work for themselves and if their coffers both mental and social are fulfilled, then only they work to ensure the dying coffers of  the country is getting filled up hopefully.

Kaleidoscope of power of religion in democracy

The resurgence of any countrys prosperity depends on its ability to counter evil deeds and actions and the same will only induce the power of people towards religious inclination and the spiritual path, which must be besmeared with  faith and belief to each other.  These fundamental thoughts are very much useful to unite the country, despite many odds and the inherent diversity.  It is the spiritual ethos, which ensures the freedom you want to have and select what religious faith you want to embrace upon and practice.  In our country where secularism is predominantly active, no one can force you to tumble in any kind of desolation to follow a particular type of religion.  Many stalwarts, even at the level of President and Prime Minister of other countries castigate their apprehension on Indian’s freedom of religion.  During his recent visit to India, Obama has also expressed his doubt on this affair of religion and its influence on our democracy. Under the name of religion, there may be the atrocities, oppression and hooliganism, but those stray incidents  cannot be a case of expressing any doubt about the religious fervor prevalent in our country extensively.

We are more than sure that our country’s strength is democracy. We have seen many changes in the field of spirituality and religion without disturbing the democratic pattern in all spheres of our lives.  Barring a few heart rendering and stray incidents to demolish the accentuation of religiosity, the country’s democracy always supports united living and thinking.  Of late, some miscreants in the name of religious leaders are polluting and diluting the fragrance of the scared and holy meaning of the religion and allure people to convert them as their disciples to follow their religion, but ultimately provoke them to engage in lascivious activities.  These leaders are getting exposed also, but defaming the whole lot of religious leaders and their idealism, is not the correct interpretation of the religious thoughts and spirituality.

People, of course, are aware of these sequential patterns of changes in the thoughts of these religious leaders. Apparently it looks  how people harbor their delusions, but when the time comes, the illusory lessons as exhorted by these frauds in disguise of  religious preachers, get exposed.  This always happens in a democratic society when you show respect to your own religion and trust and revere your religious gurus with extreme veneration.

Spirituality is of utmost important in life and when there is a diminution in respect and honor in spirituality, it shatters the morality and power of confidence of the people.  In the flame of the spirit, belief in your own and others religion plays an indoctrinating role in life.  If you do not show any respect on this aspect, the same is not that innocuous, but if you distort the faith of others in their respective religion, then is a most unpardonable crime. This only imbalances the peace prevailing in a democratic society.  Further, the spiritual role will upheave your thought process and it will uplift you.  By dint of the influence of spiritual accentuation, you create a faith in your own, you increase faith in people, in society and ultimately, you attach this faith to divinity.  Precisely, that is the reason; spirituality shows you the light of consciousness.

As stated above, the democratic society survives on the basis of faith and belief in brotherhood, religion, love and positiveness. The other aspects, which are mostly pertaining to negative traits, are all mulish and detrimental to the growth of peace in a society.
As per the democratic principle, the society depends on four basic constituents.  The first one is spirituality and faith, which are the major strengths for upliftment in culture, thoughts and feelings of people in a society.  It is the foremost criteria to sustain any society in unity. The second one is politics.  If the influence of the politics is unbiased, nepotism free and in a position to govern their people in the right way, the people will be enthralled.  The third one is a media.  The more the media is free from prejudices and negative campaigns; it will be in a position to guide the nation accurately and more precisely.  The fourth one is trade, business and economy.  If this aspect is continued on an intellectual platform of honesty and the country becomes a corruption free society, the people and the nation will be more prosperous. When all these four constituents work in tandem and in proper coordination, the flourish growth of any country cannot be axed.

Each one of us is like a flute.  Beseeched by the negative influence of others will make you hollow and empty.  No amount of sincerity will then make you play the flute.  And even you are able to play the same, it will be a mockery of your true individuality.  Contrarily, if you are able to emasculate this negativity, you will be attracted to the divine harmony and the same will give you soothing spiritual affinity to the environment, which you are surrounded by.  You will be able to integrate everyone and everything with a melodious attachment.  All the rhythms and sounds of your life, then come to a blissful harmony. At that point of time, your heart becomes amenable to positive thoughts and you are able to recognize the sweetness of the atmosphere.  In this phase, you will not find anyone stranger to you. Basically, being the highest democracy prevailing in our country, we always try to emanate this type cordial  message to the world to increase our acceptability  more as a democratic country with a firm believer of all the religions.

Now, when you are able to feel, under the feeling of spirituality that your heart blossoms, all your desolation and infirmities simply vanish and confine you  in the slough of divine feeling.  All the anxieties evolve in your mind due to the influence of the worldlings cannot plait you from the goal of attainment of transformation. During this time of volatility of mind, you much practice meditation, affirmations of spiritual thoughts, live with religious people and utter hymns at equal intervals.  With these practices, you, me and everyone in our society can make our nation a part of blissful world and then only, we will be able to proclaim with much confidence that the biggest democratic country of the world is completely in harmony with the spiritual feeling and faith in all religions. This feeling of religiosity is the trump card of our nation’s lively effervescence towards the biggest democracy.

Create a mindset of abundance

It is but natural that failure to achieve result brings despondency. Sometimes, we need to start afresh and become demoralized to do the same activity again.  But who has not tasted the bitter taste of failure?  Further, to achieve success is a laudable affair, but to repeat the same mistake is unpardonable. “He who stumbles twice on the same stone deserves to break his neck.”  If you learn from your failure and the number of failures is more, you will be definitely in a position to gain a mindset to obtain an abundance of anything.  Most of the people do just the opposite.  Either they repeat the same mistake or disappear after one or two failures.

We all know error causes mistakes.  Some of these mistakes may be of a serious nature, which can put you in financial losses. Say, your factory workers call for a strike.  Instead of making settlement amicably, you exert authoritative power, call police forces that arrest your workers, torture them and humiliate them. This may enrage your workforce who then damages your factory assets and ultimately you have to call for a closure of your factory.  Your one mistake brings colossal losses.  Sometimes, the error dominates you so much that you forget everything. You are not able to identify the cause of your failure.  On the contrary, in this type of situation, your mindset is to be propelled in a right direction.  You have to free yourself of  all limitations to use mental energy.  We all have mental power which God has given us.  But, how much we use in reality?  It is seen that most of the people use ten percent and a very fewer use at the most twenty percent.  Now, this is a real tragedy and defect of our lives.   We are given by the power to reach high, think big, attempt unlimited and achieve excellence.  We only want to become mediocre.   We do not want to create a mindset of abundance.  Why?  The reason is; we are not able to blossom our potential fully out of our fear psychology and various anxieties.  We are not aware about our inner strength.  We fail to kindle our power of mental energy.  We always clamp down upon ourselves with self-imposed limitations. After repeated failures, we become pessimistic, and put ourselves into the slough of limitations.  We conclude that further try is not going to yield any positive result.  This mental frame of limitation causes our enthusiasm to die and we live with the limitation.  A person then tells himself, “There is no point of trying further, I cannot go beyond this.”  At that point of time, he faces the greater tragedy of life and settles for the one which he has already obtained. He consoles himself, “This is what I am, let me be content.”  Some people may even say, “By God grace, I have come to this point, beyond this, I should not move.”  It is not a correct thinking as God never willed that anyone should be less than he can actually be.  Instead of creating a positive mind to find out about more opportunities, we settle and actually practice limitations.  We practice them continuously and for so long a time that our mind thinking for limitation becomes a habit.   Then, we froze into the limitations like a polar ship into the Adriatic Ocean and not in a position to move any further.

To create a mind to look for abundance, you always look for “nothing is impossible.”  Everyone of us faces difficulties, hardship, pain, troubles, but if we ponder, always on the bad outcome imposing self limitations, the ultimate result will be negative only. So, the essence of the life must be to search  unlimited power to excel in your field.

The concept of “Everything is possible” is to be brought to transcend the fear of limitations to get the abundance.  Despite losing his legs to a landmine in Vietnam, Bob Wieland became a champion weightlifter, marathon runner, tri-athlete, motivational speaker and television actor.  He suppressed the fact of limitation of no legs; he was an outspoken advocate for all those people who were destitute, poor, shelterless and hungry.

If a man can perform miracle without the vital asset of his body, why we will not be in a position to cultivate a habit to throw the fear of limitation and enjoy abundance? It is only a mindset.
